Alternative high pressure pump
There are currently 3 reasonable solutions to replace GM pumps with Bosch, Rexroth and F5R pumps. As you can see in the chart, all pumps have very similar capacities to GM pumps and they can replace them without affecting the engine operation.
- Bosch pumps are two times more expensive than the other and require the installation of a drive adapter and a fuel line. There is an option with refurbished Bosch pumps at a price similar to Rexroth and F5R pumps
- Rexroth pumps, they require the installation of a drive adapter, a spacer sleeve and a fuel line. However they are no longer available on the market.
- F5R pumps are manufactured specifically for the Direct engine so they do not require any additional parts.
